  Quiet spot in rolling green hills of Vermont. Great hiking trails throughout the site. Worth a visit.

  Better than I expected. There is also a free tour that gives you the history of the site and Joseph Smith himself. Low key on the cross sell, and interesting. The monument itself is simply an obelisk, but there is a small (free) museum too.

  A wonderful stop. The monument and surroundings are beautiful. There is a free visitor center with tours.

  Our missionary guide was wonderful. It I so beautiful and peaceful there. I loved the music playing in the trees and the monument is amazing.

  Please note the times are weekdays 9:00 to 7:00 from May through October and 9:00 to 5:00 from November through April. On Sundays the visitors' center opens at 1:30. This place is a hidden treasure not to be missed.
  
  During the month of December the Visitors' Center is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. The grounds are beautifully decorated with Christmas lights. There is a nativity scene with live animals. The buildings are festively decorated and cider and cookies are served from 5:00 to 9:00.
